Professional Bed Bug Removal

We always recommend calling a professional vs. attempting to solve a bed bug problem yourself. Professionals have the experience, equipment and access to insecticides that aren't always as easily available to home owners. The biggest downside of hiring a bed bug exterminator is cost, which can include a charge for the inspection and a separate charge for treatment. Together this can cost $750 or more. For this reason we suggest:

Don't be shy about asking questions as they move through the home. Reputable contractors should be willing and able to explain to you what they're doing, why they're doing it and how they're going to treat your problem. Some also offer or refer dog services, employing specially trained dogs to sniff out evidence of bugs.

Be advised: Sprays merely kill the adult bed bugs which means the eggs that have already been laid will hatch into the same problem approximately one month later. This is why other exterminators will tell you it will take multiple treatments

I have had a very good result this way, no more hair infestations and nothing gets into my bed with me. It's also important to have some kind of slipons or flipflops in which to walk to your bed - never let feet touch the floor, or they will carry the bugs into the bed. And I change my nightgown every night.

Bed Bugs Without Borders

Paul Maloney - 3 hours ago  »  I would suspect that the presence of more than one pest type is causing confusion in these cases. A look at the hair specimens under the microscope may reveal body lice. It would be difficult to distinguish a bedbug nymph from that of a louse nymph with the naked eye. Body lice look just like hair lice, but also attach eggs to fabrics, clothing and bedding.

Will Bed Bugs Get On Dogs

What you also need to be mindful of is that they may be harboring in your bed at the head of the bed - have you encased your mattress and box spring and isolated the bed? you can read the FAQs on how to do that. What worked for me was to place the feet of my bed frame in bowls of mineral oil

The hot water in the tub approach might be safer in terms of someone's health and in terms of avoiding spreading the bugs to others. After all, you're localizing the part of yourself that you're exposing to heat--rather than subjecting the whole body to it. And if they're already in your home, you're not risking any hitch hikers dropping off in a place that would then have to battle them.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas. Meantime, we have smeared vicks vaporub cream on areas with bites and even our hair, and that has helped with itching and repelling whatever it is that's causing these twinges and itches. 2.) I have naturally very curly hair. I hated it. I would wake up at 4 am every morning before school, shower, blow dry my hair and then IRON(yes with a clothes iron) my hair. I actually still do it once in awhile when I want straight hair. I would lay a towel down on my bed, let the iron heat up and then lay down and iron my hair until it was straight. I know it sounds crazy but it really does straighten your hair and I never had a problem with it ruining my hair(it actually makes it very soft and gets rid of the frizz and dryness feeling you get from blowdrying) and as long as you are careful you won't burn yourself.

Can Bed Bugs Get In Your Skin

i never tried the cedar oil that Doug mentioned but I think it may help you as well. Just bear in mind that your scalp may also be very irritated and itchy - Scalpacin can help with some of those symptons. That is an over the counter scalp itch medicine that helped to calm the irritation down when my scalp was itchy

Now I find we definitely have bed bugs, and I don't believe that there is a program that can effectively treat both bed bugs and bird mites and I'm not sure my landlord would appreciate me telling her that wed have bird mites as well. I was never good at handling stress, and this is proof. I'm an MA for heaven's sake, and I am finding out about several parasites lately that I never knew anything about. Its scary and extremely stressful. Anyway, I know I'm off topic, so Ill shut up. Just wanted to reply...

Bed Bugs Life Cycle

What bothers me about what happened is mostly in their reaction to the situation. There should be some kind of protocol that hotels have to follow, as a matter of public policy. Instead of acting like they've never seen this before (yep, they said that), they should have someone officially check under the bedding while the guest is present and write up what they find or fill in a checklist the guest can review so there's no "revising" of events. Mostly, I feel they should not only dry clean the clothes of guests who this happens to (they did this for us), but they should have a system in place whereby they treat all the guests' other belongings including luggage. Because what good is just dry cleaning the clothes when the suitcases have been sitting on a bed bug infested carpet for several days? Perhaps hotels, especially big ones, should have to invest in a Packtite or have some other suitable treatment available.

Where Bed Bugs Hide

We are also freaked out. I don't know what the answer is. I don't know why we are getting eggs laid on our head, but we are. What seems to be happening is they hatch from eggs that are attached to the scalp, and then either feed immediately and drop down out of the hair (onto our shirts, arms, table, and so forth) or they drop out of the hair and feed where they land, and then make their way to a harborage. This is our theory. But don't freak out if this hasn't happened to you. It doesn't sound like it has -- you would know it, by the same signs we had. And it's not as if we have adult bb's wandering around up there. Their presence seems to be limited to eggs and newly hatched nymphs. We're thinking that eggs either get laid while we are asleep, or all the eggs that were laid that were/are on the scalp occurred at the hotel where the infestation was apparently very severe -- although our stay there was already 20 days ago, not 2 1/2 weeks as I mistakenly mentioned previously. This points to our getting eggs deposited on our scalps here at home from the "hitchhikers." But again, please don't freak out over this if you haven't noticed this problem. It's obviously pretty rare since most people say it's impossible.

Thanks David - that is a great fact sheet on bird mites you did - It helps clarify and determine if they are an issue. I Ok so bird mites can be visible to the eye but very small, now what about rodent bugs/mites? Are they the same size as bird mites and visible enough to see moving upon search? I live in an apartment but have no problems with birds or rodents, but I wonder if mites would travel between walls and gaps in baseboards if they have lost their host animal.

If you private message me your location I might have some suggestions. Most large PCOs have a consulting entomologist who could ID mites. You can ask them. Local University Extension offices also often ID bugs and mites.

I know -- pictures would have been good. Unfortunately, we don't have a digital or cell phone camera as my husband and I are technologically prehistoric. It's lame, I know. (We took pictures of our bed bug bites with a disposable camera we had with us on our vacation.)

When I was a teenager my nephew and niece lived with us. They where ALWAYS bringing lice home from school. We would have to battle lice at least once a school year, if not more. The funny thing is, I never got them. Not once did I ever have lice in my hair. and believe me once my mom found lice on one person she went in OCD mode about checking everyone ALL the time. There where times when everyone in my house had them but never me. The only thing I can think of is some of the things I did to my hair...

On a similar note to something besides BB bites which we both suspect, I found a post with quite a long thread on here that should be of interest to you regarding 'Mystery Bites' that are different from BB bites, which many people have also experienced and suspect to be some type of mite.

How Many Bed Bug Treatments Are Needed

All infected bedding and clothing that is not discarded should be bagged and laundered at a minimum temperature of 120 F. Never apply pesticides to clothing. Treatment of bed bugs on items that cannot be laundered can be achieved by bagging them in plastic and putting them under the hot sun for several days, again, making sure using a thermometer that the temperature throughout the bag reaches at least 120 degrees F. Killing bed bugs through cold temperatures can also be achieved, but in this case items have to be left in below freezing temperatures for at least a couple of weeks. It is not possible to treat bed bug infestations in the entire house just by turning the thermostat up or down.

We appreciate that bed bugs can be a traumatic issue to experience in your home or business which is why we chose to dedicate ourselves to this worthy cause.  We have all the information you need about bed bugs and how we work to assist you in understanding how and why we work the way that we do to exterminate them.

By carefully watching for the presence of bedbugs coming into the home, you can often catch them before they become an infestation.

Bed Bug Infestation Timeline

Because of this, many people choose to go with professional pest control for bed bug removal. Experienced cleaning and pest control professionals can use a combination of chemical and non-chemical treatments to kill bed bugs and their eggs and prevent them from returning to your home.

How Does A Bedbug Infestation Start

Bed bugs may also hide in nooks and crannies in bed frames, especially if these are made of wood. Other favorite places for bed bug infestations are headboards and items under beds. In hotels, these bugs will frequently establish themselves behind wall-mounted headboards.

How Treat Bed Bug Infestation

We strongly advise anyone looking for pest control services to check with companies house to ensure that the company they are looking to do business with actually exists, another obvious clue that that the company might be here today but not tomorrow is the lack of a VAT number or VAT free pricing.  We are currently receiving a high number of concerned calls about a company in central London, although there is no address listed on their website (another strong indication of the cowboys and rogues).  You can also check out the addresses they list with Google street view, genuine companies tend to operate out of commercial premises rather than flats, houses, garages and office blocks.  In one recent search a team of alleged specialists were in a "panama papers" style registered office with over 120,000 other companies.

Cases outside of the M25 will be considered once photographically confirmed as bed bugs.  Occasionally we are even called upon to deal with cases outside of the UK traveling both to the south of France and to South America although where possible we prefer to conduct long distance work via conference calling.

The world’s first pest control firm who operated between 1650 and the 1930’s were in fact bed bug specialists.  The name Tiffin and Son is still synonymous with the highest levels of service and technical skills.  In many respects they were the inspiration behind the company.

Because Bed Bugs are made up of 98% water it recently has been found that heat is the only effective way to safely exterminate Bed Bugs and their Eggs as an alternative to harmful and ineffective Chemicals.

Bed Bug Prevention

To eradicate the bed bugs from your home, one can also make use of bed bug sprays. Like many insecticides, these sprays are usually contact killers and can be catergorised into residual and non-residual sprays.

NO! The VapaGiene BBE uses no harmful chemicals making this system the most eco-friendly available. In fact, the only additive used is an optional Aloe Vera product used in the deposit tank which results in a pleasant, fresh fragrance left in the room…

Characteristics of bed bug infestation include dark spotting on mattresses and furniture. This dark spotting is dried waste left behind from these pests. Bed bugs breed rapidly and have staggering amounts of offspring at a time. Because of this, they easily and quickly spread from room to room and can become an out of control problem.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bed Bug Removal:

Bed Bugs In Books? Help?
Recently I Got Some Books From An Anual Used Book Sale Where All Books Are A Dollar. There Hasn'T Been Any Reports This Year, But I Know A Couple Of Years Ago, It Was Reported That Bed Bugs Were Found In The Books They Sold. Because Of That, I Have A Few Questions... 1) How Can You Tell If A Book Had Bed Bugs? Is There Some Sort Of Test? 2) How Can I Get Rid Of Bed Bugs In Books If They Do Have Them? Do I Put Them In The Freezer? In The Oven? I'Ve Heard Of Both Options But I Don'T Know Which One Would Actually Work. Thanks

Bed bugs don't like heat. To see if there are bugs in your books, use a hair dryer on high setting - it won't kill the bugs, but they'll run out of the book.
Clothing has to go in a clothes dryer on high for thirty minutes - that would probably ruin a book.
I think your best bet is to buy NuVan strips and seal your books in a heavy plastic bag. Google NuVan Prostrip to see where to buy them.
"Nuvan ProStrips for Bed Bugs:
For Control of Bedbugs and Bedbug Eggs

NUVAN PROSTRIP may be used to control crawling bedbug nymphs and adults exposed to product vapors for 48 hours. In difficult to treat areas, a minimum treatment time of 72 hours will provide better results.

NUVAN PROSTRIP may be used to control bed bugs that have entered various items in an infested structure including, but not limited to: electronics, appliances, footwear, art work, collectibles, plush toys, clocks, radios, wall hangings, telephones, computers, printers, mattresses, box springs, books, lamps, furniture and other such items. Place infested items in a suitable plastic bag, poly sheeting, container or room that is closed to contain the NUVAN PROSTRIP treatment. Plastic bags or poly sheeting should be at least 2 mils thick. The closed volume for treatment should not exceed the volume to be treated for the size of the NUVAN PROSTRIP used.
Take care to avoid direct contact of the NUVAN PROSTRIP with the surface of items being treated. Seal items in the containment for a minimum of 48 hours to kill bedbug nymphs and adults. To kill any bedbug eggs, if suspected to be present, seal items in the treated space for seven days. Seal plastic bags and poly sheeting with as much air space around the treated article as is practical as this will enhance the exposure to the product vapors. Proper seal can be attained by any appropriate manner such as the use of tape, twist ties or other means. Professionals should test for adequate seal by testing for the escape of air from the sealed bag. Identify sealed treatment by a label indicating a pesticide treatment is in process that should not be disturbed by unauthorized persons. The label should include the date, pest professional person or company responsible and contact telephone number. When treatment is completed, remove treated items from the treatment in awell ventilated area and aired out for a period of not less than two hours.

Bed Bug Proof Material?
Is There Any Sort Of Chair/Sofa That Is, Or Maybe Mostly, Bed Bug Proof? I Ask Because I Wan'T To Buy Used, And Thus Relatively Cheap, Furniture To Furnish My Apartment But Am Afraid Of Bed Bugs And Whatnot. Would A Vinyl Chair Be A Good Idea? Or Leather? Thanks

Yes, leathers and vinyl would be better choices, but I don't think they'd be 100% fool proof. There are still stuffings and materials used inside the couch and under the seats/cushions. I don't think there is anything 100% fool proof other than 100% plastic.

How To Sue A Hotel For Bed Bug Bites And Clothes Replacement?
I Am Wanting To Sue A Hotel In Va For Bed Bug Bites My Family Sustained In May Of This Year. The Hotel Denied That There Were Any Bugs In Their Rooms. My Wife Was Smart Enough To Film The Bugs Their Shells, Egg Cases And The Bites. When The Hotel Staff Saw This They Admitted To Us That It Looked Like Bed Bugs And Brought In An Exterminator Which Also Said It Was Bed Bugs. We Filed A Complaint With The Health Dept Also. The Hotel Gave Us A Roll Of Quarters And Some Detergent To Wash Our Clothes And Moved Us To Another Room And Said They Were Sorry. We Moved To A Another Hotel Beside This Hotel And Noticed That Mattresses Were Moved Outside The Dumpsters Of The Hotel Where This Occurred Within The Next Couple Of Days (Which My Wife Filmed The Mattresses Also). My Wife Went To The Doctor For A Few Bites And We Bought New Clothes. Can I Sue This Hotel For This And Get Compensation For The Bites And Clothes. If So Do I Have To Go Back To Va To File This Or Can I File In My Home State? What Court Does This Fall Under And Where Do I Start? Thanks

?? You STAYED in the hotel after seeing the bugs? Case dismissed.

You did not need new clothes, you needed to WASH your clothes. That is all. Sue them for the cost of cleaning, assuming you had stayed for a while before noticing the bugs, none of which makes sense.

If you do decide to waste your time and money on a lawsuit, you have to do it in the state in which it occurred.

Uv Light Kill Bed Bugs?
I'M Going On A Trip Soon And I Am Looking To Buy These Germ Guardian Uv-C Light Sanitizers. I Was Wondering If Uv Lights Kill Bed Bugs Too?

No. They kill some bacteria by damaging their DNA & RNA, but that requires that the light penetrate the organism. It will never do that for insects.

Can Bed Bugs Kill A Pregnant Womans Unborn Baby During Early Pregnancy?
Can Bed Bugs Eat The Baby And Kill The Baby If You Have Your Period While Pregnant?

First, you don't have your period while pregnant.
Next, bed bugs can't get inside you and bite the baby. Bed bugs don't transmit any diseases, so they are no particular threat to a pregnant woman- just a nuisance.

Do Cats Eat Bed Bugs?

Gross, I hope not. Most indoor cats will kill a bug but don't always eat it anyway. But I'm sure if the cat somehow managed to get a bed bug and kill it, it might just eat it. But it's unlikely. Bed bugs are master hiders, and they run pretty fast, too. They are also pretty small. And I don't know if cats would like them too much since their bodes are mostly comprised of your blood. They definitely won't take care of your bed bug problem, if you have one. Bed bugs don't normally bite dogs and cats, but they could, especially if you weren't around for a while and one got hungry.

Home Remedies On Bed Bug Repelent .Com?

A great way to get rid of bed bugs is with lavender oil, they hate it.

Then give your bed a good cleaning with a vacuum cleaner and wash everything that is on it in hot water, rinse the bedding with lavender oil in the water. Also use lavender on the linen and in the carpet under the bed, or in the water you wash the floor with. Clean the walls and suck out any cracks or holes around the bed and surrounding area. They are small and live in the strangest places.
Another good thing to use is rosemary oil.
You will have to get an exterminator in to get rid of them properly.

How Do You Safely Remove A Bed Bug Cover Without Letting The Bugs Get Out?
I Have A Bed Bug Cover On My Dorm Mattress, But How Would I Go About Removing It Without Letting The Bugs Out All Over My Room? Also, How Would You Recommend Washing Or Removing The Bedbugs From It So I Can Use It Again?

If you have a cover on the mattress for prevention of bedbugs, but haven't seen any, you can take it off, wash & dry it. If you have bedbugs & can see them inside the cover, do not remove it. These covers are meant to be left on permanently. They really don't need to be washed unless the bed's been peed on. Just wash your sheets as usual. If there are bugs inside & you unzip it, at least a few will get out. Also make sure no holes appear in the cover, if you find holes use a strong tape to cover them. Bedbugs can live inside these covers for up to 18 mos+ without feeding.

What To Do About Bed Bugs In The Carpet?
I'M Pretty Sure I Have Bed-Bugs In The Carpet Of My Bedroom. I Always Spot Smallish, Black Bugs With A Reddish Tone On My Carpet Or On Piles Of Clothes On The Ground, And I Occasionally Get Small, Red Bug Bites On My Arms And Feet (Might Not Me From The Bugs, But I'M Pretty Sure They Are!) How Do I Rid My Bedroom Of These Vermin? It'S Pretty Terrifying.

I work for a pest control company, and Bed Bugs are really hard to get rid of. You can, however, minimize them if you can not afford a $400-$1000 service (depending on size of apt/home).

First, put all your clothes from your dresser and closet into large black plastic bags and put them in the kitchen. Seal them tight. Then, do the same for any sheets, curtains, etc. After that, vaccumm the carpet, and make sure to move the furniture around and vaccuum behind night stands, and even the baseboards and behind hanging pictures. Also, vaccuum your bed - take the mattress off and vaccum the box spring, all sides. try to get down into the crevices of the box spring and mattress. Also, vaccuum the bed fram, headboard, foot board, etc. Vaccuum inside the closet and dressers.

Take all those clothes and linens and take them to the dryer and all you need to do is out them on high heat for 10 minutes - no need to wash everything - it's the heat that kills the Bed Bugs.

You may want to do the same for the living room, couch, side tables, carpet in that room if you spend a lot of time in there.

This will not guarantee them to go away, especially since being you are not a professional, you do not know exactly what you are looking for and which areas to concentrate on, but it will minimize the effects. Also, you may have to do it more than once.

Also, they might not be bed bugs - they could be fleas, some kind of beatle, who knows.

Good luck!

How To Get Rid Of Bed Bugs?
Me And My Fiance Recently Found Out We Have A Major Infestation Of Bed Bugs. We Called The Local Exterminator. They We Giving Us An Estimate Of Around $1,000. There Is No Way We Can Afford That On Our Pay. Is There Anything We Can Buy At Home Depot, Or Other Stores That Can Help Us Get Rid Of The Little Bastards? Also What Could I Do In Case They Made Their Way Into My Computer?

There is a great DIY trap that is shown to be as effective, if not more, than the leading extermination stuff. http://lancaster.unl.edu/pest/bugs.shtml I hope this helps! remember, bed bugs cannot crawl up metal, so you might want to invest in a high metal frame for your bed, instead of wood. Another way to help repel them is through using essential oils. Citronella, rosemary, sage, mint, neem, and lemon are all good repellents, and smell good. dilute with water and sprinkle on your mattress, and linens. (caution, some oils can stain). Although, if you want to play nasty, i recommend diatomacious earth. It is the crushed shells of diatoms, small silicon shelled creatures, so tiny that they do not cut or harm humans or pets, but one swipe against a bugs exoskeleton and they will dehydrate and die. sprinkle it around the edges of the room on the carpet, and especially around your bed. this will also kill spiders, roaches, and every creepy crawly that steps foot onto it.

I Have Bed Bugs, The Pest Control Is Coming And I Will Have To Wash Every Single Thing In My Home!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Will I Have To Wash Leather Jackets And Bags?Do I Need To Wash Everything? I Know They Can Come Back But I Don'T Want This To Happen Soon After I Think I Can Finally Sleep Without Being Eaten Alive!!!!!!!!!!!Creepy Stupid Cockroaches That Had Nothing Better To Do Then Move Into My Flat ;(

Bed bugs can only survive on the fabric material. They don't live on the leather, but if the lining is cotton or any fabric then you need to wash all those jackets.

Good luck on the pest control. I had them before, but bed bugs had never gone away until I used Bed bug powder. It is natural powder, so no toxic ingredients and it worked great!!

I Slept In My Boyfriend'S Bed. And I Found It, He Had Bed Bugs. I Have Been Itching Like Crazy Ever Since. I Thought It Was Just My Pregnancy Making My Skin Act Weird. Do Bed Bugs Make Your Skin Itch? Could I Have Transferred Them To My Clean Bed/Environment?

Yes. Bed bugs make your skin itch because they like to burrow and plant their eggs in dark, warm places such as skin creases (elbows, backs of knees, etc). As for transferring them to bedding, this is a huge problem because once you have any of their material on you (such as eggs or the bugs themselves) it quickly spreads to all your linens (bedding, towels, etc). YOU need to contact your local health authorities for proper instructions on how to rid your entire household of the bugs. I hope you are able to get things under control quickly. Good luck.

Moving And Getting Rid Of Bed Bugs?
Please Help! Almost Two Months Ago I Saw One Bed Bug In My Closet And One On Top Of My Bed. It Was Full Grown. After That I Never Saw One Again. I Dont See Any Bites On Me And I Do Have Mattress Protection. Im Moving Next Week And I Want To Make Sure That I Dont Bring These Horrible Things With Me. All Im Taking Is Shoes, Clothes (Which I'Ll Dry On High Heat Before Moving), Dvd Player, Tv, Books, Dishes ,Mirror And Three Boxes Of Random Stuff. I Put Books And Cosmetics In Large Zip Lock Bags. What Else Should I Do To 100% Make Sure I Dont Bring Those Things With Me. Thank You!!!!

Inside the covering of the bed, put in some Boric Acid (powder ant killer) Place some in all the boxes, books, and random stuff. You can use little baggies with some holes in them. This stuff dries out the hard shell of all bugs like ants, fleas, roaches and bed bugs. Do not breathe it in. You can vacuum it off when you get to your new place. It is easy to wash off of hands but don't get it into your eyes or mouth. Gloves would work when unpacking. They do sell those extra large zip bags for stuff. Have a pleasant move

Bed Bugs And No Hot Water? Help?
We Have Recently Started To Find Little Bugs At Night And Today We Are Cleaning Everything And I Mean Everything. I Read Somewhere To Get Rid Of Bed Bugs You Need To Wash Everything In Hot Water But The Problem Is That There Is No Hot Water Because Something Broke And I Am Asking What Do I Do. How Do You Get Rid Of Them (We Found Only A Few For Right Now). And How Do You Fix That Water Problem.

Bed bugs are a real problem. 1st a Dryer is all that's needed for clothing or stuffed toys ETC. (about 30min will do it)
Vac. and clean every thing you can. Get rid of the vac. bag and any cleaning towels; rags ETC. Look for a nest of bed bugs in the mattress or head bord and remove.

TIP: Get some help. (eggs have been know to live more that 6 months in cold weather) Have the home sprayed asap. Its the only way. Sorry!!! But shop around they may not go away after the 1st spray. Can be pricey. Also they will have a list of do's and don'ts

TIP: After drying the clothing put in a black trash bag and put in your car. The heat in the car will keep them safe to use.

Note: The eggs from bed bugs are sticky and stick to every thing.

TIP: Bed bugs don't fly. Keep the bed away from wall and night stands You can put a "small" amount of oil in a rubber bowl or container to keep them from crawling up the bed legs. Set the legs in the container and then pour in the oil. (when this is all over be very careful when removing)

TIP: Get a very good mattress cover or use 6 ply plastic and tape very well or get a new mattress and cover.

TIP: Empty out dressers; chest of draws and any thing you can before pest guy gets there so he can spray them too. The one that's missed alot is the closet shelf.

Main thing is to keep you from getting bite at night.

Will need more info on the hot water problem...could be as easy as the relighting the water heater to it being completely out.

Bed Bugs And Or Ticks?
We Just Moved Into This Motel Room For A Couple Of Weeks, Or I Hope It Is Not Longer. Anyways I Have Bites All Over My Arm. When We Looked At The Beds Here In The Room The Bedding Is Full Of Bugs. My Daughter Says The Ones She Sees Are Bed Bugs Yet My Husband Seen One That Looked Like A Tick. How Do I Know What They Are And How Do I Get Rid Of Them? Are They Harmful? Any Information On Both Are Great Please!

Those are bed bugs. Ticks would stay on your body where as bed bugs will only feast on you at night. They can carry Hepatitus B and plagues. In which you can suffer from delusional parasitosis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delusional_parasitosis
and PTSD (Post-tramatic stress disorder) That I would say would not be good for anyone in your family to have. You have the right since you are tennants in the motel to take this up with them. If they do not provide proper accomidations that are bug free and sterial you could claim negligance on their part or something.

All of your clothes must be washed and the whole room checked because that is how bedbugs spread from room to room. Its most likely that all the rooms are infected or someone who was staying in your room before you was infected and brought the critters with them. You should be moved to another room and it needs to be checked for bugs because if they can travel easily from room to room while the housekeepers are taking out the dirty linens.

To get rid of them you should get a new bed and carpet but some hotels and motels dont want to pay for that so a bug guy would have to come in a spary then they would have to scrub each bed and floor removing the eggs that are attached in the bed. Its pretty nasty and I heard of a case on the news about one family who brought in an infested bed that someone gave them and it spread thoughout the whole apartment complex they had to quarinteen everyone and all of their possessions and let the bug guys come in and kill all of them.
